www.donatelife.net www.cherubs.org A child dies almost every day waiting and praying for a 2nd Chance at Life, an organ transplant. The problem is, most parents never think about child organ donation until it’s too late. I would like to ask parents to think about child organ donation before a tragedy strikes their family and to help them realize that at a time of personal loss there exists the opportunity to give another child a 2nd Chance at Life. Organ transplantation is one of the 20th century's most miraculous medical breakthroughs. Yet, there simply are not enough organs available to help everyone in need. As a result, an average of 15 people die every day waiting to receive an organ transplant. This memorial is a tribute to Luisa who is deeply missed and loved. She is our fourth girl, as precious as the other ones. She died at the age of six months after an intracranial hemorrage because of her liver transplant surgery complications.
HER NAME, LUISA MEANS FAMOUS WARRIOR, GLORIOUS IN THE BATTLE, SHE REALLY WAS A WARRIOR, HER CROSS WAS A HEAVY ONE AND I ADMIRE HER BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF I WOULD BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH WHAT SHE WENT AND STILL SMILE AND PLAY. I AM SO PROUD OF HER AND I IMAGINE THE BIG PIECE OF HEAVEN THAT SHE EARNED AND IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER BECAUSE I KNOW SHE COULD NEVER HAVE A HOME LIKE THAT HERE ON EARTH.SHE IS MY MODEL, SHE IS AN EXAMPLE OF COURAGE AND LOVE OF GOD. | | | ORGAN DONATION SAVES FAMILIES She left her three beautiful sisters who miss her a lot, she was their favorite doll, they loved to sing and dance in front of her and make silly faces with mommy to make Luisita smile. We used to sit her in front of us, play some music, dance and sing to her and she was allways looking straight, at us, without even blinking, like she didn't want to forget our faces and I can tell she was happy at those moments even though she wasn't feeling good because of her illness. Her sisters also helped mommy a lot, giving her the pacifier, which she liked a lot, feeding her, bringing diapers, etc. and they enojoyed it. They were so sad when she and mommy had to go to Minnesota but they were hoping that someday she was coming back and Luisa would be allright, HEALTHY, with her new liver and be alltogether again but after 2 months mommy came back by herself, and yes, Luisa was more than perfect she went to a place where there is no pain nor illness or needles. She is happy in God's arms looking at her sisters whom she loved really much. She is the angel that will be watching over all her family who deeply misses her and love her even more yet, specially her sisters, mommy and daddy, uncles and aunts, cousins, and her grandparents.
"To a Child Gone" I thought I was ahead of you in line. You would take your turn After I took mine Like we did before. I guess you don't need new shoes For starting heaven Or a light left on against the dark The way I always did. But I'm just so used to parenting. I wanted just to be there To do whatever needed to be done. But you went first. And now, my little one Suddenly you are my senior. Morning, I know, will come. But bring close your light - This time it is I who fear the night.
